Shelters Nearby

The opening of the first phase of the city’s long-awaited homeless navigation center.

That phase is a large building called an early entry facility, which consists of 50 beds where homeless people in Palm Springs will be brought to sleep overnight. The facility, which opened on March 4 and has already begun providing shelter to homeless residents, is the first part of the multi-million-dollar navigation center to begin operation.

The rest of the center, which is intended to provide a full range of “wraparound services” aimed at helping people transition out of homelessness and into affordable and stable housing, is still being constructed and is set to open in August 2024.

If you are homeless and need housing in Palm Springs, California, you can call Home Connect at 1-800-498-8847. Home Connect is the Coordinated Entry System (CES) for Riverside County, which provides access to federally, state, and locally funded homeless services. A staff member from a Riverside County agency will help you find housing.
