Contact the shelter’s volunteer coordinator to see if they are looking for volunteers. You can also ask about age requirements, and if there are any other instructions. Some tips for volunteering include:
Increase Awareness of the Homeless population
Volunteering at non-profits can raise awareness of the level of homelessness in our communities and inspire others to join in helping. It encourages more individuals and organizations to become involved and work together to improve the lives of those in need.
Reach People in need
You can reach out to your local homeless shelters, churches, or organizations and inquire about volunteering opportunities.
